Choosing A Place
When I was told to think of a couple places that I would want to focus on all quarter, my mind directly went to Woods. I'm there 25/8 - in other words, all the time - I love the coffee, the employees, and the atmosphere.
The Podcast
The Podcast was our first project and it had to have meet certain criteria in order to get the grade of an A. It had to have a "good" driving question, that couldn't be answered with yes or no, that had to be thought provoking for the interviewee's as well as the audience. The final product also had to have good sound design, which meant you had to edit to professionalism. You also had to include more than just your own voice; bring someone in to have an outside perspective. As well as having these things, you also had to do your homework; research the place and know exactly what you're talking about. And the final critera, proper citations.
The Review
The Review was the second major project assigned. This was a familiar genre to write in, and I enjoyed discussing all of the positives and negatives surrounding my place. For the final draft it was required of us to submit an online copy to Medium.com

The Proposal
The Proposal was the last project assigned in our class. In our proposal we were asked to propose a solution to a problem that we found with our place. This proved to be tricky due to the kind of problem I found within my place. Proposals tend to follow a pattern similar to a conventional story with 5 parts: an introduction, Explanation of the problem, Solution to said problem, a cost/benefit analyses, and a conclusion.
